A Magical Trip to the Butterfly Pavilion

Hello Families!
Our trip to the Butterfly Pavilion on Friday was absolutely wonderful.

We learned so much about insects during our science lesson and many of the kids were brave enough to hold the specimens! We visited the Wings of the Tropics, where butterflies flew overhead, and even landed on a few lucky students. We got to touch underwater invertebrates at the Water's Edge and observe many ocean animals. Rosie, the famous tarantula, got to crawl on many third graders' hands.

Also, we were very lucky to have a gorgeous Colorado fall day with perfect weather for an outdoor lunch. The students had a great time exploring and running along the nature trails just outside the pavilion.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped chaperone our students on this trip, we had a great time with you! You all took some great pictures, which I will share below. 😀
